We are now a few weeks away from Mortal Kombat 11launches in North America on Switch. While we have not seen all Switch version images in action for the moment, first impressions seemed rather positive. Now, however, another potentially alarming discovery has been made regarding the file size of the game.
Twitter, @ NWPlayer123, shared a thread of conclusions for the game, which has apparently been put online behind the scenes of Switch eShop, ready to launch. They say the base game will be 6.537 GB, with an update scheduled for a day that will be 15.9 GB – more than double the size of the base game, then.
It's pretty easy to jump to conclusions here. We can assume that Warner Bros. opted for a smaller (and cheaper) Switch Cartridge, only needing to store the original 6.5GB on it before forcing consumers to use their valuable SD card space by downloading the rest Although this may be the case, we can not be sure, so it may be better to put the forks for the moment.
Interestingly, though, @ NWPlayer123 also shared the following image, potentially revealing 13 pieces of downloadable content planned for the game. Previous DLCs in the series included characters and new skins. So we can expect to see something similar here.
As always, feel free to share your thoughts on these findings in the comments below.
