The girl, Amari Allen, told WJLA that three white boys from the Emmanuel Christian School in Springfield, Va., Had pinned her Monday on a toboggan.
They held her hands behind her back, said Amari at the station. She covered her mouth and cut her hair off by calling her "ugly" and "layer".
"Why would they do that?" she remembered thinking about the time, WJLA reported. "Is it only me who is touched?"
"I never thought bullying would be part of this program," Amari's grandmother told WJLA, saying she had enrolled her granddaughter in hope to live in safety.
The Fairfax County Police Department is investigating and a police report has been filed, spokesman Sgt. James Curry told CNN on Friday. He declined to comment further because the case is ongoing.
Authorities will not publish the police report, Curry said. It is unknown whether there were eyewitnesses to the incident.
All parties involved in the incident will be away from school while the police will conduct the investigation, said the school at the Washington Post.
School officials were "deeply troubled by the allegations" and were in contact with Amari's family, told CNN Immanuel Christian, director of the school, Stephen Danish, in a statement. communicated.
"We take seriously the physical and emotional well-being of all our students and apply a zero-tolerance policy for all types of bullying or mistreatment," he said, adding that school "also contacted the police forces to ask them to: conduct a thorough investigation."
Complementary investigations, he said, should be addressed to the police.
