A 12-year-old Buffalo boy who was at his home was fatally shot in the head by a stray bullet on Saturday night, police said.
Bandar Elwaseem was in his apartment around 8:30 pm. when he was shot, the Buffalo police said Sunday.
The bullet that struck Bandar traveled "a considerable distance," the police said. He was in the kitchen when he was shot, according to ABC's affiliate Buffalo, WKBW.
Another person, a 22-year-old man, was also shot and his condition is stable after surgery, officials said. Police hope to talk to him later on Sunday.

Shots were fired at a car in the parking lot, reported WKBW.
The police are looking for camera footage in the area and talking to witnesses. We do not know if there is more than one suspect.
Crimestoppers is offering a $ 7,500 reward and the FBI an additional $ 5,000 for any information leading to an arrest.
