The mystery surrounding a little boy found sleeping on a porch in Buffalo continues to grow.
Buffalo police updated the media late Tuesday morning, describing the case as a "very very complicated case". Buffalo Police Captain Jeff Rinaldo said they were working closely with the newly arrived boy's grandparents from Florida.
The boy's grandmother told WKBW reporter Ali Touhey that he called Noelvin and that they intended to take him under his care. Meanwhile, parents of the youngest, Nicole Mersed, 24, and Miguel Valentin, 31, have not made contact with their family since Sunday. According to police, they will post photos of Noelvin's parents and a family friend. Anyone with information about where they are is asked to contact the ministry's homicide unit.
During Tuesday's press conference, investigators also reported on a burned car found in Tonawanda Street, about one kilometer from the place where the boy was found. The police are currently using it to identify the human remains found inside this vehicle.
Investigators believe that the fire burned extremely hard and eventually went out. According to the police, the vehicle was so damaged by the fire that it has trouble identifying its make and model.
