A 5-year-old woman dies in the fall from the top of Miami | WBNS-10TV Columbus, Ohio

MIAMI (AP) – Authorities claim that a woman and a 5-year-old child have died as a result of a large building in Miami.

Captain Ignatius Carroll of the Miami Fire Department told the media that they responded to a call for a possible "rider" in a downtown Brickell building on Monday night.

Officials say that they probably fell off at least the 20th floor.

The teams found the dead woman in the shrubs near the building. The boy was found unresponsive on a sixth floor terrace and taken to an "extremely critical" state at the Ryder Trauma Center at the Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he died later.

Their names have not been revealed. Police investigate.
