A new batch of Tesla Model S vehicles with the 2021 design update have been spotted leaving the Fremont factory as deliveries are finally expected to begin.
In January, Tesla introduced an updated version of the Model S and Model X that brings a new powertrain, new interior, and updated exterior design to Tesla’s two flagship electric vehicles.
During the launch of the new vehicles, CEO Elon Musk said deliveries are expected to start in a few weeks – the first deliveries in February, but we are now deep in March and they have not yet started.

The updated Models S and X are expected to breathe some life into vehicle programs, which haven’t garnered much love from Tesla in recent years as the automaker automobile focused on the 3 and Y models.
Sales have declined steadily over the past few years to only a fraction of what they were at their peak.
As Musk noted in the same email to employees, the design update has already resulted in more orders, and Tesla plans to build the Model S and Model X in two shifts at the factory. Fremont – which hadn’t been necessary for some time. .
