A Boeing 737 crashes into a river in Jacksonville, Florida.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Officials say that a chartered charter plane between Cuba and North Florida has found itself in a river at the end of a runway.

A press release from the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville indicates that a Boeing 737 coming from the naval base at Guantanamo Bay (Cuba) crashed into the St. Johns River on Friday night.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office posted on Twitter that a maritime unit had responded to the assistance. The aircraft was in shallow water and was not submerged. The officials say that everyone in the plane was alive and accounted for.
