Yujing Zhang, a Chinese national who was arrested by the US Secret Service after entering President Donald Trump's tourist complex at Mar-Lago in Miami, was found guilty Wednesday of lying and having lied to federal agents.

Zhang, a 33-year-old business consultant, was sentenced by a 12-member jury to a Florida federal court. She faces up to six years in prison.

The Chinese national – who was carrying four mobile phones, a laptop, an external hard drive and a USB key – was able to pass many secret service agents of the resort and enter prohibited areas, according to court documents.

While Zhang was in Mar-a-Lago on March 30, Trump was playing golf near his Trump International course.

During her detention, Zhang told the agents that she was present to attend a "United Nations friendship event" – which did not exist in reality – between China and the United States. United, according to his criminal complaint.

NBC News announced that Ms. Zhang's trial was strangely delayed on Monday due to her lack of underwear, which paralyzed the jury selection process.
