The restart of Jordan Peele The twilight zone has always been amazing to think in the abstract. Peele is the ideal person to lead and animate the series. Since we live essentially in a Twilight zone, the restart of the series is perfectly programmed.
Only now, with the launch of today's trailer, we have an idea of how it looks, and holy shit:
Sensational. A ton of fascinating and evocative images, dialogues and concepts have been evoked. Visually, it looks super off putting, with a ton of odd camera angles and big lenses. And dude, strange and sinister vibrations are happening everywhere.
From what we know and what we can say about the trailer, we can gather some elements. In the episode "The Wunderkind", Jacob Tremblay will play a child president of Danny Torrance-esque (elected on a platform of "Video Games 4 All", if one must trust the sign of his supporters) alongside John Cho and Allison Tolman. Adam Scott will appear in a remake of "Nightmare At 30,000 Feet" alongside Chris Diamantopoulos and an intrigue plot extra-credit. Greg Kinnear plays an Alaska policeman at Christmas alongside Stephen Yeun in "The Traveler". Tracy Morgan will threaten Kumail Nanjiani in an episode and Glenn Fleshler will threaten Sanaa Lathan in another episode (titled "Rewind"). And there are still other episodes to preview, so yes, there are many that happen here.
CBS also launched the poster below for the show, which is less revealing, but features 50% of Jordan Peele, so there you go. The twilight zone will be presented on April 1st on CBS All Access.
