A Connecticut father and aunt were arrested on Wednesday after police reported that a two-year-old boy had been found on the roof of a house.
The Ansonia Police Department told his officers that they had been summoned to a house around 8:50 am for a report on a toddler on the roof.
When the police arrived, they would have found the child about 10 meters off the ground.

An officer could talk to the child and prevent him from moving, while a sergeant and another officer forced entry into the house to get the toddler out of the roof, according to a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Ansonia Police Department.
The child's father, David Hustek, 23, and aunt Sarah Barker, 20, were inside the house at the time. The police claimed to have claimed to have slept without knowing that the child was on the roof.

Police said the toddler did not appear to have been injured but was taken to a hospital in the area as a precaution.
The ministry said the house was in a "deplorable" state and had been condemned after city construction officials were contacted. Ansonia is located about 20 km northwest of New Haven.

Hustek and Barker have both been charged with risk of injury and reckless endangerment. They must appear on Thursday.
