A road crew misspelled the word "school" in large letters on a Florida road, the city of Doral confirmed Thursday.

The contractor spelled the word "SCOHOL" – incorrectly placing the "H" between the two "O", according to a photo published by Miami TV Station WPLG. The city said the mistake made in marking school zones would be quickly corrected.

"Thank you to everyone who has drawn our attention to this very important issue," the city said in a tweet.

WPLG reports that a driver spotted the mistake Thursday on Northwest 54th Street in Doral, located about 10 km northwest of downtown Miami. The crews have since corrected the error, reports the station.

This is the second time in a month that a misspelling in Florida is making headlines.

At the end of March, a sign in the city of Fort Myers, in southwest Florida, misspelled the name of the city: "Fort Meyer".
