The lifeless body of a man was found wrapped up Thursday morning in a red carpet in front of a Starbucks in Harlem, police said.

The exciting discovery was made by a passer-by who noticed two feet protruding from the carpet in front of the java chain at the corner of West 145th Street and Bradhurst Avenue shortly before 6 am, police said.

The witness quickly called the police, who found that the man inside the carpet was unconscious and unresponsive.

The doctors responded and the man – whose identity was not immediately known – was declared dead on the scene.

The authorities say that the man, who was found dressed, showed no signs of trauma.

The city's medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The outside of Starbucks was cordoned off with a police tape Thursday morning as authorities investigated.
