PHOENIX – A soldier from the Arizona Department of Public Security was arrested Tuesday after being suspected of sexually assaulting a woman during a roadside check last June.

According to the DPS, Tremaine Jackson, aged 43, was arrested after receiving a complaint that the soldier allegedly sexually assaulted a woman during a roadside check. After investigation, DPS discovered more people who claim to have been sexually assaulted by the 13-year-old veteran.

Jackson was charged with the following

  • Sexual abuse; Two chefs
  • Attempt of sexual abuse; Two chefs
  • Attempt of sexual assault; A chef
  • Sexual extortion; Two chefs
  • Sexual extortion; Two chefs
  • Illegal sexual behavior; Peace officers; Four Account
  • Unlawful imprisonment; Eight Counts
  • Removal; Eight Counts
  • Harassment; Four counts
  • Falsification; Eight Counts
  • Schemes and fraudulent devices; Five chefs
  • Fraudulent schemes and practices; Voluntary concealment; Seven Counts
  • Falsification of a public document; Eight Counts

Authorities said Jackson was put on administrative leave at the start of the investigation.
