MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Dozens of people were injured Friday night after a false report on a shootout caused panic at the opening night of the Rolling Loud Music Festival, organizers said.

Festival organizers said the false alarm has delayed some shows at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Some people suffered minor cuts and bruises while they were trying to leave the premises.

Tariq Cherie, co-founder of Rolling Loud, said that several people were fighting on the site, letting them assume that there had been gunfire.

"Security is No. 1 at Rolling Loud.We have hundreds of police and security guards engaged to protect our fans," said Cherie. "Even though we are upset by this situation, we are proud of the quick reaction of the security forces to verify that the area was secure."

Many people have posted on social media about the incident.

People were trampling, jumping barriers and were hysterically crying, "Tyker Blint-Welsh said on Twitter. . "The worst thing is that I do not even think that there was a shootout."
