The family of a 16-year-old scout who collapsed and died while she was out hiking in southern Arizona in southeastern Arizona said that he liked scouting. .

Joshua White of Goodyear passed away on April 27 while he was at Picacho Peak State Park.

His family said in a statement released Friday night through the Scouts: this help was called immediately and rescue measures were taken "but unfortunately unable to revive it".

Sheriff officials said the hikers had water but rushed to the top of the trail up to Picacho Peak (1,500 feet).
