A Dodger supporter was hospitalized for serious injuries after a fight in a parking lot at Dodger Stadium after the six-hour match on Friday, police and the victim's family said.
The assault is the result of a "verbal argument" between two men outside the stadium following the Dodgers' match against the Arizona Diamondbacks, police lieutenant Silvia Sanchez announced on television. from Los Angeles.
Police said shortly after Saturday at midnight, "One of the men was seriously injured when he fell to the ground after being punched."
"He was hit and his head hit the ground and fractured his skull, his brain is now swollen, he is bleeding from the brain," said the victim's wife, Christel Reyna, at KABC.
She identified the victim to the media as her husband, Rafael Reyna, 47, a father of four.

"A witness immediately reported the incident to the stadium staff and the LAPD. Emergency medical technicians were quickly dispatched to provide medical assistance at the scene, "the LAPD said in a statement. The victim was then transported to the hospital.
On a fundraising page created by Christel Reyna to help cover medical expenses, she wrote that her husband was assaulted in Lot 3 just after midnight Saturday after the Dodgers game.
"I heard all the attack because I was on the phone with him at the time," she wrote on the page. "We ask anyone with information to share what they know to be able to catch whoever did this to my husband."
"I anticipate difficult roads ahead, but we believe in the power of our Lord to heal him and lead our families through," wrote Christel. "Please, keep sending your prayers to my husband. We can use a lot now. "
She also publicly pleaded on her Facebook page, "Help us find out who assaulted my husband at the Dodger stadium last night! Someone saw something! Lot 2/3 at midnight last night (Friday night). I heard all the aggression on the phone and I know that someone was there to witness it!
The LAPD told Fox News that she was working with the Dodgers on the investigation.
No arrests have been made and the cause of the fight is still under investigation, the police told Fox News.
Police described the suspect as a 20-year-old Hispanic man, claiming he might have left the area with a white SUV, perhaps a Toyota 4Runner.
An official update on Reyna's state was not available on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a video taken inside the stadium showing a different fight that took place during the match was posted on social networks, including Twitter. He shows several fans who beat each other and shout at each other. The cause of this fight was not clear.
