The baseball enthusiast who won a contract with the Oakland A's, after moving at a speed of 96 mph into a speed radar booth at Coors Field, brought heat to his professional debut.
Nathan Patterson, 23, took the mound on Thursday for the first time as a minor player and breathed all three batters he faced, USA Today reported Sunday.
"I'm not going to lie, nerves sank until I hit the beach," Patterson said on Instagram the next day. "After that, I took a deep breath (sic) and achieved the hard work of the past year.Mr prepared for this moment."
