YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) – A federal judge ruled that a lawsuit filed by United Auto Workers against General Motors about the closure of three plants is expected to be heard in Ohio.
According to the Warren Tribune Chronicle, US judge Benita Pearson in Youngstown on Thursday rejected GM's arguments that the case was to be sent to federal court in Detroit. The headquarters of GM and the UAW is in Detroit.
A spokesman for GM declined to comment Friday on the decision.
Only the Michigan plant remains open.
