It was a flight or a fight response.

A nightmarish JFK flight to Miami was delayed for so long that cops had to be summoned following fights between frustrated and exhausted passengers.

Delta flight 2385 spent Thursday nearly 8 hours on the tarmac at Queens Airport. The situation became uncontrollable when fighting erupted, according to a FOX 5 News report.

"It got out of hand – there are people arguing and it becomes verbal and physical," said the passenger. Juan Andres Ahmad wrote on Twitter. "The police are in the plane! Complete the chaos! "

"I understand the weather delays and we all want to be safe, but it's not about weather, but how Delta handled the situation."

In another tweet, Ahmad said the captain had "no idea" of the position of the ship's crew. "

The plane was supposed to take off at 15:52. but was delayed due to bad weather and took off only around 11 pm – landing in Miami at 2:30 in the morning, the report said.

The port authority police restored calm but said that there had been no arrest.

This incident was Delta's second incident in the last days. A day earlier, passengers on the Delta 100 flight to JFK were frightened when their plane was filled with haze. The plane was waiting to leave Jacksonville when the haze invaded – and the flight crew made a joke of it.

This flight then landed in New York without incident.

A spokesman for Delta told Fox News that "in hot, humid weather, it is not uncommon to see brief periods of condensation fog in the cabin."
