Thomas Tuchel may need more than an hour at Cobham’s training ground for this Chelsea side to play exactly the way he wants, but there was a lot of his tactical imprint in the goalless draw. Wednesday with the Wolves – maybe more than he expected.
“When I watch this game I’m pretty amazed because I can totally relate to what I did (in training),” he said.
“I would have liked a stadium full of supporters here and we saw 16 times in the final third, which is quite amazing for the intensity and energy on the pitch. We managed to put the game completely in the opponent’s half of the field, we managed to stop the counterattacks very early, we created a lot of half chances.
