The body of a missing Florida woman for nearly six years was found last month in the freezer of a scrap processing company, the owner said Friday.
Lilian Argueta opened the freezer and shouted when she found the body, she told Sun-Sentinel. She said that she originally thought that the body was a "witch or a dummy".
The Broward County Medical Examiner's office then identified the body as Heather Lacey, 29, who disappeared in November 2013, according to the newspaper.
The freezer allegedly belonged to Jonathan Escarzaga, found dead in his apartment in February. The freezer was transferred from his apartment to a scrap warehouse in Margate, 40 km north of Miami, after the apartment manager hired a company to remove the appliances.

The freezer was not locked, said the owners of the warehouse. They opened it about a month after Escarzaga's death and found the missing woman.
It was not clear right away if Escarzaga had played a part in Lacey's death or had known each other.
