A student from Fordham University was seriously injured in a fall from a clock tower early Sunday morning, according to a statement released by the university.

The student, a student at Fordham College in Rose Hill, Bronx, reportedly climbed into the Keating Hall clock tower on campus around 3am with friends, the university said in a statement.

The student was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and his family was notified.

The university said it was investigating how students had access to the tower.
