New York police are looking for an ex-detainee Monday after his girlfriend and son – who was expected to be 15 today – were found stabbed, strangled and beaten to death. in their apartment, according to reported information.

The bodies of Marisol Ortiz, 51, and Alanche Del Orbe were discovered Sunday afternoon by her horrified 22-year-old daughter, after the mother did not show up for work that she owned, according to the New York Post.

"I just heard the girl scream," Iris Rosa, a neighbor of the Bronx building in Bronx, told IRIS. "It was just" Ahhhhh! "And then nothing."

The two victims were declared dead at the scene and showed signs of head trauma, police said.

No arrests were made, but Ortiz's boyfriend, who, according to sources in the New York Post, had served a prison sentence for assault, was arrested. His name – and the motive for the murder – is unclear.

Police officials told the New York Post that they thought Ortiz and Del Orbe – who were in separate rooms inside the apartment – had been hit with the weight of a gym. The mother was also stabbed to the head while the teenager was strangled, they added.

A bloody knife and two weights of bodybuilding would have been found in the apartment.
