Right-handed Bob Gibson, of ESPN's Hall of Fame, says he's battling pancreatic cancer.

This is according to ESPN.

According to Gibson's agent, the former St. Louis Cardinals player was diagnosed with cancer several weeks ago.

Gibson, considered one of the greatest pitchers of all time, spent his entire career with the Cardinals, winning 251 games in 17 seasons. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1981.
