New information from the developer of the game Everywhere – a potential competitor to GTA – reveals that it can be released on the PS5 and Xbox series.

Over the past five years, Rockstar has continued to focus its efforts on Grand Theft Auto and create more content for GTA Online. While GTA fans keep speculating on the next one GTA, 6, there’s a new game on the horizon that could be a potential competitor Grand Theft Auto called All over.

All over is developed by Build A Rocket Boy Studio, an independent studio founded by former Rockstar North President Leslie Benzies and comprised of over 400 seasoned employees GTA developers. Benzies previously explained that the title will be an open-world sci-fi video game where humanity uses advanced virtual simulation technology. The developer revealed on the game’s Facebook page that All over will now use Unreal Engine for its development.

Now that the Unreal Engine is compatible with Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S, the game can arrive on next-gen consoles anytime it’s finished. Previously, Build A Rocket Boy developed the new game on Amazon’s Lumberyard game engine, but now the developer has made the switch due to the benefits Unreal Engine will bring to the title. The developer said the engine’s technological advancements over the past two years have aligned with its intentions for the game and will allow All over to stay at the forefront of the industry for years to come.

Other than that, Build A Rocket Boy didn’t reveal more details about the game engine change. The developer closed the latest round of funding with a new investor in Galaxy Interactive alongside existing investors, such as NetEase. . This allowed the developer to secure even more funding on top of the $ 42 million Build A Rocket Boy raised last September.

Unlike before, Build A Rocket Boy did not reveal the exact numbers, but it is possible that the funding was for the development of the game and the addition of people. In the same post, the developer reveals that they are hiring more staff across all disciplines for their studios in Edinburgh and Budapest. There are studio job postings for vacancies in the arts, code, screenwriting, cinematics, production, etc.

With the new changes, Build A Rocket Boy is continuing full production on its debut title and doesn’t appear to be slowing down, although no release date has been announced. GTA fans have speculated that All over might even come out before Rockstar launches their next game, but that’s just speculation. Whether All over ends up being a competitor of GTA the series remains to be seen, but Build A Rocket Boy has big plans for his first major title.
