Chad Trolon Isaak, 44, a Washburn chiropractor, made his first appearance at the Morton County Courthouse in Mandan after being booked at 11:00 am on Friday at the Burleigh-Morton County Detention Center. His preliminary hearing will be scheduled, when he will start the seven charges against him.
Isaak is charged with four murders for murder in connection with the homicides of RJR owner Robert Fakler and employees Adam Fuehrer, William and Lois Cobb. The Mandan police chief, Jason Ziegler, said Thursday night that a motive was unknown. Isaak lived in a mobile home park managed by RJR.
He is also charged with burglary and concealment offenses in a vehicle, as well as the misdemeanor of unauthorized use of the vehicle.
State Attorney, Mortelle County, Gabrielle Goter, has asked for the $ 1 million cash bail because of the "exaggerated and brutal nature of these offenses". She also asked for a long contactless order.

A video track and a McDonald's employee finally helped the authorities arrest Isaak on Thursday night in a roadside check in Washburn, after which he was incarcerated at McLean County Jail.
The court documents describe police and firefighters arriving at RJR Monday around 7:30 am for a medical call. An affidavit claimed that they had found Fakler unconscious in the store, with multiple lacerations and wounds to the knife.
Emergency responders soon located Fuehrer's body in the store and found the Cobbs' bodies in the offices of the building, according to the affidavit. Each had been shot or stabbed.
Investigators found evidence, including CCTV, showing a non-employee entering the RJR around 6:47 pm on Monday and leaving shortly after 7:00 am, according to court documents.
Court documents then indicate that a RJR vehicle drove and parked a block away and was found with traces of blood on the handles of its doors.
Other video footage and a Mandan McDonald employee also provided accounts of the person's activities, leading the authorities to a suspicious vehicle that eventually resulted in traffic control that blocked Isaak on Thursday night.
According to the affidavit, the investigators found evidence of Isaak's vehicle and house, including human blood probably near the driver's seat. and a number of items in her home smelling of bleached water or soaking in bleach, such as matching clothes with the person being watched, a knife, the base and portions of a handgun .
Authorities also reportedly recovered an employee business card for Fakler in Isaak 's residence, according to the affidavit.
Due to the arrest of Isaak, Mandan police will interrupt a phone line for advice regarding RJR's homicides. The number is 701-667-3220 and it will close at 7am Saturday, police said.
