According to Downdetector, failures have been reported in the United States on the east and west coasts, as well as in parts of Europe and around the world.
By 5 pm, most of the problems had been resolved.
For several hours, while the site was having problems, various issues were reported, according to CNBC, including the inability to load Facebook or post comments.
