Schwarzenegger later posted on Twitter: "Thank you for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I just thought I was jostled by the crowd, which happens often. He attended his event Arnold Classic Africa, which offers dozens of sports and fitness activities. In a separate article from Twitter, the event blamed the attack on a "crazy fan".
According to the statement, organizers, Wayne Price, said the attacker was "known to the police for orchestrating similar incidents in the past" and that Schwarzenegger was "good and always in a good mood".
The actor confirmed that he did not intend to lay charges and would continue with another appearance on Sunday as scheduled, the statement said.
