CANAL WINCHESTER, Ohio (WCMH / CNN) – A man is in police custody after authorities said he had brought his pickup truck to an Ohio hospital on Friday morning, killing an employee.
Raymond Leiendecker, 45, drove the truck to the Diley Ridge Medical Center at Canal Winchester shortly before 10 am, according to investigators.
The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office said it appeared that Leiendecker had deliberately hit the building.
The truck crashed through the doors of the emergency room and entered the building 's interior.
At least three people were injured in the accident, including Leiendecker, who is being treated in a hospital in the area.
An employee of the hospital died as a result of his injuries.
According to officials, a woman is also treated for life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said Leiendecker would face charges.
