NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) – A man was killed in a horrible accident on a crowded subway platform in downtown Manhattan when his clothes got stuck in a train and he was dragged to death.
It arrived around 7:20 pm on Tuesday at 42nd Street and at the Grand Central subway station.
The 39-year-old Queens man was dead when the police arrived. He was seriously traumatized by the body after being dragged from the platform to the rails, where he struck a power box.
Police say that this appears to be an accident and that the man has not been a victim of a crime. His name was not immediately published.
The incident resulted in the suspension of service between 34 St-Hudson and Hunters Point Ave. while the police were investigating.
