(WTHR) – A New York teacher has people who remember their childhood after discovering a 30-year-old Apple Lle computer that still works.
John Pfaff found the computer in the attic of his parents, he dusted it off and, to his surprise, he turned it on!
Pfaff shared the discovery on Twitter.
Oh.
My.
God.An Apple IIe. Sitting in the attic of my parents for years. Decades.
And it works.
Put in an old game disc. Ask if I want to restore a saved game.
And find one!
He must be 30 years old.
I am still 10 years old. pic.twitter.com/zL7wWxOo36

He says that he inserted an old game disc. The computer loaded the game and even asked if he wanted to restore a saved game.
Pfaff found floppy disks containing several different games of the time, including; "Millionware", "Neuromancer" and "Olympic Decathlon".
My kids thought the situation was incredibly retro when my wife and I were playing Super Mario NES on Switch, the oldest.
Tomorrow morning, their definition of retro will change considerably. pic.twitter.com/cwpMyvCoYw

Apple is the third model in the Apple II personal computer series.
The model that Pfaff found in his parents' attic was published 36 years ago in January 1983. The model was later abandoned in November 1993.
