The melting of Mount Everest's glaciers uncovers bodies of dead climbers
According to a new report, due to global warming, the melting of glaciers on Mount Everest is revealing more and more corpses of dead mountaineers. Nearly 300 lives have been lost in the icy summits of Everest since the first attempt to conquer the mountain in 1921. A man from Utah who had just had a unique experience reaching the summit of Mount Everest would have died near the summit on Wednesday when he fell into a "traffic jam" of mountaineers.
Donald Cash, 55, was taking pictures after falling to the top of the mountain in Nepal, AFP reported. He was brought into an area close to Hillary Step, a well-known rock and the last – and most difficult – obstacle before mountaineers reached the summit, but he died later.

Cash was one of 200 people climbing the mountain to the top of 29,035 feet on Wednesday as hikers tried to make the most of the good weather. Every May, there are only a few windows of good weather that offer mountaineers the best chance of reaching the summit.

Another person, identified as 55-year-old Anjali Kulkarni, also died while descending from Everest. Traffic was so busy at the top that her descent into Everest was delayed and she died, said the organizer of her expedition to AFP.
Mountaineers in Utah said that it was difficult to accept news of Cash 's death.
"Every time you have something like that in a climb, it breaks your heart," said Dave Roskelley, who reached the summit of Mount Everest in 2013 at KTSU. Roskelley said he and other mountaineers had given Cash advice on his trip earlier this year.
He said that during his ascent, his expedition group "spent about 45 minutes waiting for people to get in. It's a little first-come, first-served." It's really hard up there. "

Roskelley described Cash as "a starter", and said, "Knowing him, he is probably happy that his body is buried."
In the spring, 41 teams made up of 378 mountaineers are allowed to climb Everest. An equal number of Nepalese guides help them to reach the summit.
