PHOENIX – A man succumbed to his injuries following the death of a member of Parliament who shot in Buckeye on Friday night.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, Juan Torres, 39, was shot dead by two MPs and later died in a hospital in the area after officers were called for domestic disturbances.

MPs arrived in the area of ​​209th Avenue and Narramore Road in Rainbow Valley to find Torres in the residence's garden.

During the conversation between MPs and the suspect, Torres threw a big key, hitting one of the deputies.

Torres then approached the two deputies with a hammer. Both deputies fired with weapons, hitting Torres.

Torres was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

One of the deputies involved in the altercation was slightly injured.

No other information was immediately published.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
