ST. PETERSBURG, Florida – A man who was filmed attacking a McDonald's employee for a straw was sentenced to prison.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Daniel Willis Taylor, 40, was sentenced to 60 days in jail and credited 58 days after pleading against two battery charges.
The attack occurred at a McDonald's in St. Petersburg, Florida on the eve of the new year 2018.
Yasmine James was behind the counter when police said that Taylor had seized her forcefully and pulled her to the counter.
James defended himself by punching Taylor's face while he was standing at the collar of his shirt, police said.
Biandudi says the fight started when Taylor went to get a straw in the condiment bar. When he noticed that there was none, she said that he had started screaming after the employees.
