A shootout in the Rose Bowl car park after Saturday's match between Oklahoma and UCLA resulted in one death and one injury.

According to KTLA, Pasadena police responded to reports of gunshots fired at 11:22 pm. Saturday. Kamryn Stone, 18, from Los Angeles, was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead. A 51-year-old LA man has also been hospitalized for a gunshot wound, but his condition is stable, the police said.

According to NBC Los Angeles, police said the incident began with a fight before escalating into a shootout.

"The motive for the altercation that led to the shooting remains under investigation," said Pasadena Police Lieutenant Jesse Carrillo. "Preliminary, it seems that this incident is not random in nature."

The shooting took place about three hours after Oklahoma defeated UCLA 48-14 at the Rose Bowl. The game is over just after 8pm. local hour. A city spokesman told KTLA that the stadium's parking lots had been "cleaned up" at this time of night.

"The Rose Bowl stadium and car parks have been cleared of UCLA's clientele and vehicles from the match a few hours earlier," spokeswoman Lisa Derderian said in an email to KTLA.

The police are investigating a motive and have not disclosed details of any suspects.
