Around 9 pm, a mother of three stopped at a pizza shop in Philadelphia. She left the car running with her 7 month old children and 1 to 5 years old still inside, while she went to see their father, who works at the restaurant.

Police told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Hood had stolen the Hyundai, prompting the couple to run away. The crowded roads allowed Mom and Dad to chase the car and pull it from the driver's seat.

Hood escaped their anger, but not for long. It was only half a block before Dad knocked him over again.

The father started to beat Hood. The spectators saw what was happening and joined us.

They left Hood unconscious and suffered injuries that were subsequently fatal. Paramedics took him to Temple University Hospital, but it was too late to save his life.

The mother and father stayed on the scene until detectives brought them to interrogate them.

District Attorney Larry Krasner told local media that it was too early to comment on any possible charges, but authorities use footage from a nearby surveillance camera to search for other men involved in the beating.

"We are trying to find out who these men were who also assaulted the deceased person afterwards. We are trying to find out who these people are, "Chief Inspector Scott Small told KYW.
