A man tells that an intruder broke into his house, cleaned it up and left

He thought maybe they had been stolen. But after further inspection, he found that nothing was missing and that his house was dazzlingly clean.

Nate Roman lives in a single-family home in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Roman told CNN that he went to work on the morning of May 15 and returned home after picking up his son to find that his door was open.

"[My son said], & # 39; Dad! The door is unlocked. What I did once a blue moon and did not think about it. But when we walked in immediately, we felt that something was wrong in the house. "

He realized that someone was perhaps at home because a door that he normally kept open was firmly closed. Roman then went upstairs to check the rest of the house.

He discovered that his son's room, which was a wreck when they left that morning, was treated like a pin. He found his room in the same virgin state.

The son's room, in disorder in the morning, was found clean and neat.

"The carpets were vacuumed, everything was clean and tidy," Roman said.

He immediately called the police, who took the incident very seriously. They cleaned the house to make sure no one was there anymore.

The police told CNN's affiliate, WBZ-TV, that she had talked with the neighbors and that no one had seen anything suspicious. There are no suspects.

"No crime has been committed, nothing has disappeared or been damaged, so the police have very little means to continue," Roman said.

As the security system was not configured either, the cameras that would be activated when the alarm was triggered were not receiving images from the intruder. The timestamp of the door sensors indicated that the person who was guarding it was staying in the house for about 90 minutes.

Later, he discovered in the bathroom roses made of toilet paper, a detail that made him understand that it was probably the work of a professional. His theory is that a cleaning service has come to the wrong address, but his kitchen has not been touched, which makes him doubt his suspicions.

He has since changed his locks and admits that he always opens the closets carefully in case something unexpected happens.

Roman hopes to overcome the ordeal, but he kept the toilet paper roses as a souvenir.
