A 62-year-old man wanted in a serious sexual assault involving several young female victims in the 1990s went to Oregon police on Friday, officials said.
Wayne Arthur Silsbee has been transformed into Oregon City Police Department, the FBI announced. He faces charges of first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse, endangering the well-being of a minor and first-degree illegal sexual penetration, according to a warrant. issued in Clackamas County on July 24, 1996, officials said. The victims were between 8 and 10 years old at the time.

The FBI announced it issued a warrant of arrest on September 19, 1996, accusing Silsbee of illegal theft to avoid prosecution.
Officials said Silsbee knew each of the victims, either by keeping them or by taking them to some sort of event.
Silsbee reportedly lived in Nebraska recently and reportedly has links to Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, the state of northwestern Washington and San Francisco, the FBI announced.
He is expected to make his first court appearance on Monday.
