A Minnesota woman who was found with 64 dead cats, 43 live cats, a 400 pound pig and other animals on her property was sentenced.

Caycee Bregel, 25, who ran a nonprofit animal rescue organization south of Twin Cities, pleaded guilty Friday to 13 counts of animal cruelty.

Bregel was sentenced to 200 hours of community service, two years of probation and 90 days of home monitoring. She must also undergo a psychological examination.

Court documents indicate that complaints about the fugitive pig led investigators to the home. They discovered that many cats and dogs were in poor health and that they emitted "an overwhelming smell of urine and faeces". Dead cats were found in shallow pits in the back yard, in freezers, refrigerators and in the garage.
