The Montgomery County Police Department stated that it was investigate an incident On Thursday, one of his officers used a racial insult to answer a call.
Police were dispatched at approximately 10:30 am to McDonald's Avenue New Hampshire, in Silver Spring, Maryland, after being reported as an intrusion. Once on the scene, they began interrogating four black men and searching their belongings.
During the interaction, which was first filmed by one of the arrested men then shared by Instagram, a racist insult is used by a white female policewoman. Police released a video of the policewoman's body Thursday night, in addition to the full Instagram video. Watch the two videos below.

Here is a transcript of some of the interaction between the man and the officer:
Detained man: You did not come to write a pile of documents.
Officer: Hey, we try, you want to get out of here quickly, is not it? So, if we have more people …
Man off camera: what did you say, sir?
Officer: You have not tried anything. If you want to leave faster, we have more friends to help you out faster.
Detained man: racist-a ** b *** h.
Officer: No, quote, that's what you say.
Detained man: I bet if she did not have this badge, she would not call us either.
Officer: I would say it anyway, because what I'm doing, I repeat.
In a statement, the police said the comments in the video clip were "disturbing and contrary to the values of our department and our fundamental mission to serve our community in a fair and impartial manner."
Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich issued a statement Thursday in which he said he spoke to Acting Police Chief Russell Hamill and acknowledged the seriousness of the situation.
The agent's comments recorded on the video violate the standards we expect from our agents. No circumstance justifies what the agent said. Whenever this happens, it hurts the reputation of all officers; and this goes against efforts to build trust in the community.

Montgomery County Council Chair Nancy Navarro said in a statement Friday that
"These actions do not reflect the high expectations we have for police officers in our county and I hope the people involved will be held responsible for these offensive actions. We are and will continue to be an inclusive county and it is imperative to continue our education and awareness work to educate our residents about the negative effects of racism on the residents of our communities. "
In a statement on Facebook, Will Jawando, an extraordinary board member, called the video "disturbing" and said he would monitor the situation.
"… I spoke to the Montgomery County Police Department about the incident and told him that this type of language was unacceptable. I understand that they have launched an internal investigation into the situation. I also asked the leader to investigate the reasons why these youths had been arrested. "
Montgomery County police said the police's internal affairs division was investigating allegations of employee misconduct.
"We sincerely regret the disturbing nature of this video," Montgomery County police said. "We understand the pain that such language causes to the entire community. Our commitment to maintaining open and honest communication with the community and providing a transparent police service persists. "
