The driver of a semitrailer involved in an accident that claimed the lives of a mother and her 18-month-old twins in Indianapolis was arrested Sunday night and faces three charges of indictment. reckless homicide, according to a report.
Bruce Pollard, 57, was arrested after investigators said he believed the speed of the truck could have been a factor, WISHTV.com said. The report stated that Pollard was driving the truck around noon when he was engaged in the traffic that was stopped.
The mother and her twins would have been in the first vehicle that was reported to have been hit by the truck, according to the report. He caught fire, the report said. Several other cars were damaged. The mother and the twins died on the scene.

According to the report, seven adults were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, two of which were reported in critical condition.
