A motocross bike flew into the stands at the Ohio Exhibition Center, causing 7 injuries, officials said

Seven people were injured, two of them seriously, after a motocross bike flew into the bleachers during an event that took place on Saturday night in a fairgrounds. Ohio, officials said.

The Tallmadge Fire Department said in a message posted on Facebook that the incident had occurred around 8:42 pm. at Summit County Fairgrounds, located outside of Akron.

A total of seven people were injured, four of whom were transported to hospitals in the area, according to fire officials. The Tallmadge Police Department told FOX8 that of the four people transported to hospitals, two people were seriously injured.

The video of the event prior to the crash was posted on Facebook by Summit Racing Equipment.

A picture obtained by Cleveland 19 News showed where the motorcycle crashed into the pits.

"There was a bike accident and the runners went to the hospital but we were told that they were fine," Summit County Fair m said on Twitter. "Some spectators told us they had minor injuries."

Summit County Fairgrounds said on Facebook that the races were continuing after the accident.

Fire officials said the incident was "under control" and the names of the people involved were not yet made public.

"Tallmadge Fire would like to thank everyone for his prompt response and recovery after the incident," said the agency.
