A neighbor not surprised that a teenage murder suspect is hiding in the neighborhood

Police in Albuquerque and federal agents arrested Xavier Zamora, 17, in a house in southwest Albuquerque on Wednesday night.

One person in the neighborhood was not shocked to learn that Zamora was hiding in front of Whispering Point's house.

"It does not surprise me at all," said the neighbor who did not want to be identified. "The comings and goings that happened here at home showed that something was going to happen."

The neighbor said that he had reported the house for suspicious activities in the past.

"Often, there was no adult at home," he said. "Some people have been left on their own, and it will not work."

KOB 4 tried to talk with people at home, but they refused to comment.

It is unclear whether people from the house helped Zamora to hide from the authorities or if they will be prosecuted.

Zamora was scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Thursday. However, the state has dropped prosecutions and federal prosecutors have taken over the case.

As Zamora is a minor, all hearings will be sealed by the public and the media.

However, KOB 4 got a warrant for arrest. It shows that the FBI agent removed rifles, shotguns, a handgun and ammunition from the house Zamora had shared with his mother.

The police did not indicate whether she believed if any of these weapons had been used to kill postman Jose Hernandez.
