A new leak compares the Pixel 4 camera to the Note 10+ – and Samsung wins

I want to say that this new leak for the Pixel 4 XL can be attributed to the dreaded Friday the 13th, but we know that this is not true. Today, we are receiving a video from ReLab on YouTube, the same as the ones that released the video yesterday on the brand new gaming capabilities of the phone.

This new video shows us how the Pixel 4 XL – demonstration software – compare to the Galaxy Note 10+. Fortunately, in this video, ReLab has optimized the download to support subtitling for non-Vietnamese like me.

YouTuber tells viewers that it is dealing with demo software and that it can not make all shooting modes work or even turn on. At the first test, we took a picture taken from Note 10 and more of an outdoor photo with many colors that Samsung could pick up. Samsung, true to fashion, does a great job showing a wide dynamic range and bold colors. Unfortunately, we do not see the same picture of Pixel 4 XL. The Pixel photo is more true to life and comes with a slightly warm hue.

Then comes the front camera for a selfie. The 10+ rating overall makes a better job with the photo, although both have some problems with cutting and fuzzy separation on the background. Still, the 10+ rating seems to have a clearer overall picture. The Pixel portrait also seems to have ghosting on the edges of the photo, especially on the shoulder.

For portrait mode on the rear camera, our intrepid review tells us that the sensor on the back of the dual camera modules is not a TOF (flight time) sensor. Instead, we have a laser sensor that helps us get a quick focus in more lighting conditions. The critic shows us a picture taken inside and mentioned that the lighting is not the best. Here it seems that the pixel takes the crown now more details in the person and a great job to find edges while distinguishing the elements close to the person. The image of Samsung is a little softer and more moderate, especially if we consider the clarity and boldness of the exterior image of the buildings.

The last picture we see compared is an outside image of a tree against the sky that lets the sun filter. In a problematic plan, the two images have their merit, Samsung showing a little more dynamism with regard to colors. The shooting of Google is more attenuated, but seems to have a more dynamic global range.

While YouTuber incorporates the video test, it repeats that not all modes are available, then let us enter some specifications. The front camera of Pixel 4 will record in Full HD and 4K with 30 frames per second on the back. It can enable stabilization for testing and give audio output samples. Each phone does a good job of stabilizing, the Note 10+ producing a more saturated front video, while the Pixel is washing it a bit. The sound of everyone seems to be pretty correct for the case of using an average person. The rear camera seems to have an output similar to that of the front with regard to color quality and stabilization.

Although the Pixel 4 images are not terrible, that's not what we expect from Google. For the rest of the phone, we expect the screen to have a refresh rate of 90Hz, a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM and two cameras facing the back. The Google Soli chip is also expected, which will give the Pixel 4 a precise face unlocking system and aerial gestures allowing you to control the phone by waving the hand.
