PHOENIX – A plane traveling from Phoenix to Las Vegas was grounded after the fall of two tires from American Airlines flight 711 early Thursday morning.
In a statement to the press, an American Airlines spokesman wrote: "The American Airlines flight 711 between Phoenix and Las Vegas had a mechanical problem before takeoff, and our maintenance crew is currently inspecting the aircraft. We do not want to disrupt our clients' travel plans and our team is working to get them to Las Vegas as soon as possible. "
A spokesman for Sky Harbor International Airport said that there was no impact on airport operations after the malfunction of the flight.
