Powerball lottery jackpot hit $ 282 million after no ticket won first prize in Saturday night draw, although ticket sold in New Jersey totaled $ 1 million .

The winning numbers drawn on Saturday were 29, 30, 41, 48, 64. The Power Ball was 1 with a power play: 4x.

The million dollar bill sold in New Jersey is one of two national numbers corresponding to five numbers, but not that of the Power Ball. The other was sold in Virginia for $ 2 million because the winner spent $ 1 more on the Power Play option.

New Jersey lottery officials are expected to announce the location where the $ 1 million note was sold later this week.

The chances of winning the Powerball Jackpot are 292 201 388 to 1. A player who buys a $ 2 ticket has about a one in 11,688,053 chance of matching five numbers and earning at least $ 1 million.

The Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington D.C., the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
