COUNTY OF THE UNION, Miss. (WCBI) – Three people died after flying a private plane in Union County on Saturday night.
Sheriff Jimmy Edwards of Union County says the victims are pilot Tommy Nix with his wife Merline Nix of Belmont and co-driver Jarrod Holloway of Booneville.
The plane was found near County Roads 120 and 121 in the southeastern part of the county.
EMA director Curt Clayton said the Federal Aviation Administration was investigating the accident.
He also said the National Transportation Safety Board will be on site Monday.
The cause of the accident is not known at the moment.
