A Russian flag hanging from Salisbury Cathedral nearly a year after Novichok's poisoning

A Russian flag was suspended on the side of Salisbury Cathedral late Saturday night, in anticipation of the first anniversary of nerve agent poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia. Sydney Morning-Herald reports. Workers removed the huge flag of the building early Sunday, and many British lawmakers quickly condemned what it has described as a "stupid waterfall" that illuminates Novichok 's poisoning. It is generally thought that the poisoning is the work of at least two (and perhaps even three) Russian GRU members, who have already defended their presence in the city at the time of the Skripals' poisoning by claiming to have always wanted to see the famous cathedral. The Saturday, The Sunday Times indicated that Skripal continues to suffer the physical consequences of the nerve agent, and that its condition has recently worsened.
