SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A woman from San Diego is among those killed in the Conception Boat Fire located off the island of Santa Cruz, said her colleagues at Coronado on Tuesday at 10News.

A manager of the Nicky Rottens restaurant at 100 Orange Ave. Nicole Quitasol identified as one of the victims of the deadly fire.

Quitasol was on a diving trip with four parents, his colleagues posted on Facebook.

"Nicole has worked with our family Nicky Rottens Coronado for years, and she will be remembered as an adventurous and loving soul," wrote Bryn Butolph, who described Quitasol as intelligent and loving.

"She will be sorely missed," Butolph added. He told 10News that Quitasol was dedicated to his dog, peanut butter.

The family of five was among the 34 people presumed dead in the fire. All slept under the bridge when the fire broke out early Monday. Other casualties included students from a charter school in northern California, serving classes 7 to 12, and a marine biologist who owned the dive company and ran the tour.
