Police are investigating a shootout that occurred near a seaside resort of President Donald Trump, Florida, which killed one and injured two others.

Miami Dade police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta said an appeal had been received at 13:41. Sunday, saying that shots had been fired at Trump International Miami Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach. The Sunny Isles agents responded to the scene and found several perforated vehicles.

A 19-year-old woman was found inside a vehicle shot by bullet at the upper extremities, Zabaleta said. She was taken to a hospital and classified as stable.

Moments later, another 911 call reported that a man, a man shot in a vehicle, had been killed in a mall located across the street from the hotel. The Sunny Isle agents immediately responded and discovered the man with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was identified as Mohammed Jradi, 43, said Zabaleta. It seems like a stray bullet passed from Trump International's property across the street, through the parking lot and hit Jradi, who was working. "We talked to family members and, of course, our family and our deepest condolences go out to the family," he said.

A 5-year-old boy was also hit by a bullet. He was treated on the scene by firefighters and released.

Investigators from the Miami Dade Police Department were called and arrested several people for questioning. Several firearms were also seized at the scene.
